Collaborative initiatives in the international zero movement 1957-1967
Orez (1960-1971) was an avant garde gallery that represented the international ZERO movement and related art (Orez is the reverse of ZERO). The gallery exhibited internationally famous artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Panamarenko, Sigmar Polke, Hans Richter, Jan Schoonhoven and the international Gutai group when they were still hardly known at all. Henk Peeters has been the man on the background, but in this publication he becomes the place he deserved.
Caroline de Westenholz describes the history of Orez on the basis of documents from the archive of co-owner Albert Vogel. This book forms an indispensable contribution to the recent revaluation of ZERO art in international art history.
